From its internal specs to new S Pen features, Samsung told us nearly everything there is to know about its Galaxy Note 3– except for when we can get our hands on one. Some carriers have already come forward with pricing and availability information regarding the Note 3, but there are still some details that remain a mystery.
Announced earlier this week, the Note 3 comes with a roomier 5.7-inch 1920 x 1080 display, a faster 2.3-GHz quad-core (or 1.9-GHz octa-core) processor, and new features that build on Samsung’s existing suite of TouchWiz S Pen enabled apps. Samsung has also added a few design changes that distinguish the phablet from its predecessor, the most prominent of which swaps out the Note 2’s rounded plastic back for a new faux-leather material.
The Galaxy Note 3 is expected to land on all five major U.S. carriers in the near future, and here’s a look at what we know so far.
AT&T
AT&T subscribers can pre-order the Galaxy Note 3 starting today. The device will cost $299 on a two-year contract and is expected to become available starting Oct. 1.
T-Mobile
Beginning Oct. 2, T-Mobile customers can purchase the Galaxy Note 3 for $199.99 up front with $21 monthly payments for two years. The carrier is also offering a sweepstakes to win a free Galaxy Note 3 and Gear watch for those who sign up for T-Mobile alerts before Sept. 15.
Verizon
Verizon customers can pre-order the Galaxy Note 3 starting today for $299.99 with a two-year contract. The carrier hasn’t specified when the handset will hit stores, but its estimated ship date is Oct. 10. Verizon buyers can also choose to purchase the Galaxy Gear smartwatch with the Note 3as a bundle package on a two-year contract for $599.98.
Sprint
Sprint hasn’t disclosed any details about when the Note 3 will launch on its network, but the carrierconfirmed earlier this week that it will debut “this fall.” The company’s website currently says “coming soon” with no further details.
U.S. Cellular
U.S. Cellular has announced that it will begin offering the Galaxy Note 3 in October, but hasn’t specified a launch date or pricing for the handset.
We’ll update this article with more details as information is announced. Full review of the Galaxy Note 3 and Galaxy Gear to come.
